Instant Draft Grades (Most Recent Class)

  • 1.6: OT Andre Smith: Bengals need to keep Palmer upright, Smith has ups-and-downs but should be solid. Grade: B.
  • 2.38: LB Rey Maualuga: Boom-or-bust potential but has to grow up to become a professional. Grade: B+.
  • 3.70: DE Michael Johnson: Some say 20 career sacks is underachieving, but his potential is unreal. Grade: A-.
  • 3.98: TE Chase Coffman: Not a blocker, but is big and could develop into a dynamic receiver for Carson. Grade: B+.
  • 4.106: OC Jonathan Luigs: Award winning center needs to take it another level to be a NFL starter. Grade: C.
  • 6.142: P Kevin Huber: Top notch leg strength, good distance and hang time. Grade: B+.
  • 6.179: DB Morgan Trent: Never special at Michigan, despite his good speed and athletic ability. Grade: C.
  • 6.209: RB Bernard Scott: Small star with speed and a history of off-field problems. Grade: B-.
  • 7.215: RB Fui Vakapuna: Will be asked to block and run the ball on short-yardage plays. Grade: C+.
  • 7.249: DT Clinton McDonald: Undersized tackl, but big for an end. McDonald lacks a position but has talent. Grade: B-.
  • 7.252: WR Freddie Brown: Grade: Will need to display special teams prowess to stick. C.
