Nine Juniors to Watch Closely [Not Ranked]:
RB Bandon Ore ~ Virginia Tech -- Very powerful running back, who rushed for over 1,100 yards and scored 16 rushing TD's in '06. Has excellent hands coming out of the backfield and is a hard worker.
RB James Davis ~ Clemson -- Has rushed for over 2,000 yards and scored 26 TD's in his short career. Teams with super sophomore C.J. Spiller to form, perhaps, the nation's top running back tandem.
OT Andrew Gardner ~ Georgia Tech -- Very agile and powerful left tackle prospect, who has been a steady force for the Jackets since his freshman season in 2005. Excellent athlete, who has added 50 pounds to his 6' 6" frame since arriving at G.Tech (is now 300 pounds).
DE Calais Campbell ~ Miami-Florida -- Some think this 6' 7", 280 pound edge rushing terror might be the best defensive player in America. Most insiders feel he's a future top 5 pick (ala Gaines Adams)?
LB Geno Hayes ~ Florida State -- At only 6' 2' and about 220 pounds, Hayes could use a little more bulk, but he's got good speed and should be a big time playmaker for F.S.U., if he stays healthy.
LB Erin Henderson ~ Maryland -- This speedy weakside linebacker came back from a devastating knee injury in 2005 and led the A.C.C. in tackles last season (114). Brother of Minnesota Vikings linebacker E.J. Henderson.
CB Tony Carter ~ Florida State -- Not the biggest prospect around at only 5' 9" and about 175 pounds, but he's very athletic and extremely fast -- clocked at 4.35 coming out of high school.
CB Brandon Flowers ~ Virginia Tech -- Part of a potentially dynamic cornerback duo with fellow Hokies junior Macho Harris. Both have excellent speed and play with a lot of confidence, which is needed "on the island".
FS Kenny Phillips ~ Miami-Florida -- Has been a high impact defender, with a nose for the football since his freshman season. Great combination of size, speed and toughness. Is he Miami's next great safety?
